Bookmarks v2026.10.6-deploy.459fe997ec09

See what changed in this release.

This release improves the private morning digest in CodeSplash Bookmarks. Digest content is now prepared and cached before send, source owners can keep preview edits in place until they choose to regenerate them, and digest link activity is stored as engagement history with clear limits on what those counts mean.

October 6, 2026

Highlights

01

Morning digest delivery now uses cached content and preserves the exact email payload that was sent.

02

Source owners can edit digest bookmark copy in preview, and those edits stay authoritative until regeneration.

03

Digest link activity now records original-link requests, library-link requests, and first authenticated library returns.

04

When a source cannot be recovered, the digest falls back to saved metadata instead of inventing missing article analysis.

05

Invalid images are filtered out during digest preparation instead of being carried into the final email.

Changelog

What changed in v2026.10.6-deploy.459fe997ec09

Features

  • Added source-owned digest editing so preview copy can be revised before send and remain in effect until explicitly regenerated.
  • Added digest engagement history for per-email original links, library links, and first authenticated library returns.
  • Added persisted digest asset recovery and validation for article text and image references used by preview, regeneration, and delivery.

Improvements

  • Morning digest preparation now stores recovery, image validation, and summary data ahead of delivery, and send reads cached content only.
  • Sent digest emails are now treated as immutable records, improving consistency between delivery and archive views.
  • Public-source recovery now uses bounded HTTPS requests and rechecks redirect destinations during digest preparation.
  • Engagement reporting now documents that request counts can include email scanners and should not be treated as unique readers.

Fixes

  • Fixed digest fallback behavior so unavailable articles keep grounded saved metadata instead of producing invented analysis.
  • Fixed digest image handling by omitting invalid images from prepared and sent digest content.
