You saved it for a reason. Now there is a better way to come back to it.

The CodeSplash Bookmarks morning digest brings yesterday’s saved reading into one email. Each article gets a useful overview, a reason to take a closer look, and a direct link to the original. Available source images help you recognize the story before you open it.

This is the current owner beta. I’m refining the daily experience before opening the digest to more Bookmarks users.

Choose what deserves your attention

A list of titles tells you what you saved. A good reading email helps you decide what to read next.

The digest draws on the saved source to explain what an article covers and why it might be worth your time. The overview and reading prompt serve different purposes; you should not have to read the same description twice. When the full source is unavailable, the email uses the information saved with the bookmark.

Open the original when you are ready to read. Use the library link when you want to return to your saved items, tags and notes.

Prepared before your morning starts

The daily digest prepares at 4:30 a.m. and sends at 5 a.m. in the account’s timezone. Summaries are saved with the bookmark, so opening a preview or revisiting an email does not generate the copy again.

The owner preview in Marketing provides a place to adjust a summary or regenerate it before delivery. Manual edits stay in place until explicitly replaced. The daily email then uses that prepared copy.

Keep the email you actually received

The private archive preserves the sent email, including its copy and images. Search previous days, filter using the original bookmark tags, or open an older issue to pick up where you left off.

Reading activity is available separately: links opened toward the original source, links back to the library, and authenticated returns to Bookmarks. Email scanners can request links too, so request counts are shown separately from library returns.

Start with something worth saving

The digest is still in the owner beta. Bookmarks itself is available on the web, in Chrome and on iOS, so you can start building the reading list that comes next.
