CodeSplash Bookmarks

Added source-owned digest editing so preview copy can be revised before send and remain in effect until explicitly regenerated.

2026-10-06

This release improves the private morning digest in CodeSplash Bookmarks. Digest content is now prepared and cached before send, source owners can keep preview edits in place until they choose to regenerate them, and digest link activity is stored as engagement history with clear limits on what those counts mean.

  • Added digest engagement history for per-email original links, library links, and first authenticated library returns.

  • Added persisted digest asset recovery and validation for article text and image references used by preview, regeneration, and delivery.

Added cached editorial summaries for the private daily digest beta, so prepared results can be used in preview and delivery.

2026-10-06

This release improves the private editorial reading digest for beta participants. Digest content now prepares ahead of the morning send window, uses cached editorial summaries during preview and delivery, and supports richer bookmark data such as images, reading time, and fuller saved-page parsing.

  • Added richer digest bookmark support for images, author information, reading time, saved HTML content, and attached editorial copy.

  • Added scheduled digest preparation ahead of delivery, starting at 04:30 account-local time for accounts in the private beta.

Improved reliability for private editorial digest previews

2026-10-06

This release is a small reliability update for CodeSplash Bookmarks. Digest preview requests now use fewer database connections and release idle connections sooner, which should help the service stay within shared limits and make private editorial digest previews more dependable.

  • Reduced idle database connections held by each API instance

  • Faster cleanup of unused database sessions during digest preview work

  • Connection handling tuned to stay under shared session pool limits

  • Digest documentation now more clearly reflects beta-only preview behavior

Daily digest reading hooks now lead with a concrete insight, tension, practical outcome, or unanswered question from the source.

2026-10-06

This release improves the private daily digest so each saved link gets a more specific, source-led reading hook. If you're in the digest beta, the morning email should give you clearer reasons to reopen a bookmark instead of repeating generic audience-focused phrasing.

  • Generic openings like "Useful if," "Useful for," and similar template-style phrasing are now rejected.

  • Digest copy is guided to add a distinct angle beyond the title and overview, so links feel less repetitive at a glance.

  • The private daily digest remains beta-only and account opt-in.
